Rachel Lindsay Is Experiencing 'A Fresh Start' After Bryan Abasolo Divorce Lindsay and Abasolo met during season 13 of The Bachelorette, which aired in 2017. The pair said "I do" in August 2019. Us confirmed in January 2024 that Abasolo, 45, filed for divorce from Lindsay. He listed December 31, 2023, as their separation date and requested spousal support at the time. The pair settled their divorce in January 2025. Lindsay was ordered to pay Abasolo $13,257 per month in temporary spousal support and $15,000 for his attorney's fees, as well as an additional $5,000 for forensic expert expenses. "We didn't spend enough time with each other," Abasolo recalled during a July 2024 interview with divorce coach Rene Garcia. "I mean, in my estimation, we saw what the other person was doing in the relationship, mainly on Instagram, although we lived in the same house." He added at the time, "I was thinking about divorce because I had already asked for a separation a few months back. I was sleeping in a different bedroom. We were already going to marriage counseling." Why Rachel Lindsay Doesn't Think Ex-Husband Bryan Abasolo Deserves Alimony When Abasolo filed for divorce from Lindsay, he requested spousal support due to their alleged income differences. "I have an issue with people who take advantage of the system," Lindsay, a former attorney, claimed on an April 2025 episode of her "Higher Learning" podcast. "The reason I said my ex is not deserving of alimony is because we both made sacrifices in the marriage, and I shouldn't be punished because I was successful during the time that we were married, and he wasn't." When Abasolo appeared on The Bachelorette, he worked as a chiropractor in Miami. Lindsay relocated from Texas to California to pursue TV hosting gigs, with the pair initially having a long-distance relationship before he moved to Los Angeles full-time. She continued, "I'm truly tired of the narrative of, 'Well, he's deserving of the money because he picked up and sacrificed his career for her.' I'm just gonna say this, and I'm gonna say this once - not true." Rachel Lindsay Reveals What 'Bothered' Her 'Most' in Bryan Abasolo Divorce One month before confirming the end of her alimony payments, Lindsay shared insight into her mindset. "I am a control freak in a sense, and the lesson that I've learned is things are going to be out of our control, and you really have to trust the process," she said ahead of the new year on the "Literally, Not OK" podcast. "When I really let go of things, and I just let them happen when they're supposed to, which is very hard for me, they happen. ... I try to remember every day, but I really saw it come to fruition in 2025 with a lot of things." Lindsay went on to note that she's "dating," hinting that her "bush found a willy."
