U2 Led by charismatic, shades-clad frontman Bono, U2 was the Irish band of the 1980s - with many millennials also associating them with force-feeding their album Songs of Innocence onto people's iPhones circa 2014. Good times! Maroon 5 Adam Levine and his band have some of the catchiest songs, including "She Will Be Loved" and "Payphone." Everybody say, "Thank you, Adam!" Queen When a band's leader has a blockbusting biopic made about them (2018's Bohemian Rhapsody), that band deserves a spot on a "best pop bands" list. Queen, made up of charismatic members including Freddie Mercury and Brian May, gave the world "We Will Rock You," "We Are the Champions," "Don't Stop Me Now," and frankly, dozens of other hits. ABBA From Eurovision to hologram concerts, legendary Swedish band ABBA's ultra-catchy songs have been staples on wedding dancefloors for many decades - and show no signs of waning. The Beatles For many, The Beatles deserve the No. 1 spot on a "best pop bands" list. The 2019 film Yesterday showed us what a world without songs like "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be" would look like - and let's just say we're glad it was fictional. Little Mix Little Mix - comprised of Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson - gave us songs like "Secret Love Song" and "Sweet Melody." Backstreet Boys Don't lie - when you think "pop band," you think a) *NSYNC and b) Backstreet Boys. We all do. Our favorite '90s heartthrobs are responsible for amazing hits, including "Everybody" and "I Want It That Way." The Jackson 5 Though The Jackson 5 were technically a Motown band, their very young frontman Michael Jackson went on to be known as the "King of Pop," so we're officially declaring they count. We still can't get enough of beautiful songs like "Ben" and "I'll Be There." Destiny's Child With four Billboard No. 1's to their name, Destiny's Child more than earned themselves a spot on our list. Plus, we're eternally indebted to the band that gave us Beyoncé, let's be real. *NSYNC A band that earned itself that many posters on childhood bedroom walls can only be described as iconic. Though they eventually bid us "Bye Bye Bye," not only will we never forget their many amazing pop songs, but we also got one Justin Timberlake out of the deal. We'll take it. One Direction One Direction were - and remain - the unforgettable band that gave us "Night Changes" and "What Makes You Beautiful," with member Liam Payne gone far too soon. Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan all continue to pursue their solo music careers. TLC Some of TLC's best hits include "No Scrubs," "Creep," "Unpretty and more. The band was made up of "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who died in a car crash in 2002, and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. The Supremes Led by Diana Ross, The Supremes performed inimitable songs, including "Baby Love," "You Can't Hurry Love," "Where Did Our Love Go" and "Stoned Love." Bee Gees Led by brothers Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb, who could forget Bee Gees' emblematically '70s hits like "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever?" Duran Duran English pop-rock band Duran Duran were and continue to be delightfully camp performers. Duran Duran's best songs include iconic hits, such as "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Rio," "Save a Prayer" and "Ordinary World." BLACKPINK BLACKPINK as a band is huge, and all four members - Lisa, JENNIE, Rosé and Jisoo - are huge individually, too. That's a double whammy for making the "best pop bands" list. Blondie Blondie, led by Debbie Harry, were pretty much the coolest band of the 1970s - and frankly, they're up there today, too. They gave us the iconic hits "Call Me" and "One Way or Another." The Temptations The Temptations have totally stood the test of time, thanks to hits like "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone" and "Just My Imagination." Fleetwood Mac Fleetwood Mac gave us such a wide array of hit songs - from "The Chain" to "Go Your Own Way." To this day, Stevie Nicks is iconic.
