Vanessa Marcil is publicly showing her support for Brooklyn Beckham years after experiencing her own family drama with ex Brian Austin Green. "Brooklyn Beckham is individuating," Marcil, 57, wrote via her Instagram Story on Monday, January 19, sharing a snap of a scenic sunset. "It's developmentally completely normal and healthy. Brave kid ❤️." Marcil's post came hours after Brooklyn, 26, shocked the internet by addressing his rumored family feud with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in a series of candid Instagram Story posts. "I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed," Brooklyn wrote on Monday. "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life." Neither David nor Victoria have addressed Brooklyn's statement, but during an interview on Tuesday, January 20, David fielded a question about how social media can affect children's mental health. So, that's what I try to teach my kids, but you have to sometimes let them make those mistakes as well." Years earlier, Marcil experienced a rift in her own family after claiming that Green, 52, had no contact with their son, Kassius, now 23. Marcil and Green began dating in the late 1990s after meeting on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210. "Kass has never met his youngest brother and is not allowed to know where his bio father, stepmother and three younger brothers live," Marcil claimed in a November 2018 Instagram post. While Green has seemingly repaired his alleged issues with Kassius, he and Marcil have been open about facing difficulties as they coparent. "It was a very tumultuous separation because you have this thing in your head of how you want to win," Green recalled of his split from Marcil during a November 2025 episode of Michael Rosenbaum's "Inside of You" podcast. "You want to be the smarter of the two and you want to be acknowledged for that. So you've got these unrealistic expectations and both of us did. It was extremely tumultuous."
