The Today co-anchor offered an update on her recovery after undergoing vocal cord surgery, revealing that she's gradually regaining normal use of her speaking voice. "I am still on vocal rest, but I'm allowed to talk for about five to 10 minutes every hour," she said on the Jan. 20 episode of the NBC morning show during a video call with her colleagues. "This is my new voice-my old voice, but my new voice. The good news is that [the surgery] worked." But while Savannah-who announced her temporary absence from the program in December-appears to be doing well, she admitted she still has to be cautious about overexerting herself amid her "slow recovery."
