It comes after a year of speculation that all is not well between the two camps, and if you're only just coming into the story now that it has imploded, then you might have some questions. So, here's the full lowdown: Brooklyn, now 26, first met Nicola, now 31, shortly after his 18th birthday, when she was 22 years old. The two crossed paths at Coachella in 2017 but were in relationships with other people at the time. They ultimately reconnected at Leonardo DiCaprio's Halloween party two years later, and the rest is history. They got engaged just months later, in July 2020, and tied the knot in April 2022. So, a brief introduction: Nicola is the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz and former model Claudia Peltz. Nelson has been in the headlines himself over the years, having been embroiled in various lawsuits, including one in 2024 where he said in court, per the Financial Times: "What sense is being a billionaire if you're not a bully?" She was regularly featured in all of their Instagram posts, and regularly posted gushing stories and photos of her own about her in-laws-to-be. And when they got engaged, it seemed as though nobody was more pleased than Victoria - with Nicola wearing one of fashion designer Victoria's dresses in her engagement photos. Then, after the big day, Victoria raised eyebrows when she repeatedly called Brooklyn and Nicola "Mr and Mrs Beckham" despite the newlyweds taking on the joint last name of "Peltz Beckham."
